If you’re an avid E! News watcher, then you are familiar with this face. Giuliana Rancic is a former host of E! News, host of Fashion Police, and star of her own reality show. In October 2011, the 36-year-old received a mammogram as a step in treatment for infertility and unfortunately discovered a tumor. She underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
If you were a Sex and The City fan, you will recognize this actress as the red haired lawyer, Miranda. In 2006, Cynthia had a lumpectomy, a surgery that removes abnormal tissue from your breast, and radiation therapy. She was quiet about her diagnosis in order to battle on her own, but later revealed her fortunate victory with the public.
Ozzy Osbourne’s wife and former America’s Got Talent host, Sharon Osbourne had a unique run in with breast cancer. Unlike the ladies above, she decided to undergo a preventive double mastectomy in 2012 after discovering she had the breast cancer gene. She had previously fought colon cancer and decided that she was not going to take the chances with another run in with cancer.
Christina has starred in hilarious films and television shows such as Anchorman, married with children, and more. In 2008, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in one breast. However, she decided to not take any risks. She underwent a double mastectomy in order to drastically lower her chances of the breast cancer returning. Applegate later went on to start up a nonprofit that provides financial aid for women at high risk of breast cancer.
