This week, we would like to highlight two of our favorite local physicians: Dr. Jason Hancock and Dr. Nicole Hancock of the Lakeside Foot and Ankle Center. Serving both Leesburg and Lady Lake, their expertise and compassion has made them the preference of many Lake County patients.
Originally from Georgia, Dr. Jason Hancock earned his Bachelor’s degree at Valdosta State University before attending Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, where he met his wife, Dr. Nicole Hancock. Dr. Jason Hancock completed his residency in Houston, at one of the premier programs in the United States.
His wife, Dr. Nicole Hancock was raised in Texas and earned her Bachelor’s degree at The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio before attending Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. Following medical school, she completed her residency back home in Texas at the Houston Podiatric Foundation.
Both Dr. Jason and Dr. Nicole Hancock have extensive training in fore-foot and rear-foot surgery, diabetic wound care, and limb salvage. After working for a private practice in Dallas/Fort Worth for a number of years, they relocated to Florida, where they joined Dr. Karsten S. Weber and Dr. Alexander A. Stirling at Lakeside Foot and Ankle Center. They have been seeing patients there since November of 2012.
With same day availability, Dr. Jason and Dr. Nicole Hancock have been able to accommodate patients for the following conditions for feet and ankles:
- Sports injuries
- Skin problems
- Diabetic foot care and limb salvage
- Ingrown and fungal nails
- Broken bones
- Reconstructive surgery
- Ankle and leg pain
- Painful heals
- And more
One patient had this to say about the practice on an online review site:
“I would recommend the entire Lakeside Foot and Ankle Center to anyone even remotely close to the Leesburg, FL area…Even if you happen to live farther away than some of these areas, I assure you that it will be worth your while and any additional drive to have the doctors diagnose and resolve your problems.”
