This week, we would like to highlight one of our favorite local offices: Physical Medicine Institute at Clermont and Orlando. Their Clermont location (1715 E Hwy 50, Ste A3, Clermont, FL 34711) is near our own Clermont location (262 Mohawk Road, Clermont, FL 34715). You can reach the Physical Medicine Institute Clermont office by calling (352) 404-6959 or the Orlando office (2902 N Orange Ave, Ste 205, Orlando, FL 32804) by calling (407) 237-0069. Both office have hours on Monday through Thursday from 8:45AM to 4:00PM, and Fridays from 8:45AM to 12:00PM.

The Clermont office also now offers physical therapy!

Margarita Correa, MD, founded Physical Medicine Institute. Dr. Correa is a physiatrist, helping with physical rehabilitation, diagnosing/treating pain, and restoring lost function. She studied at the University of Puerto Rico and speaks both English and Spanish.

"Dr. Correa has served the community of Central Florida for several years and continues to provide the best care in close collaboration with the dedicated staff."

Dr. Correa is pleased and proud to welcome Gualberto Oquendo, MD, to the team at Physical Medicine Institute. Like herself, Dr. Oquendo studied at the University of Puerto Rico, and he has special interests in Sports Medicine, Electromyography and Nerve Condition Studies. He, too, speaks English and Spanish.

The Physical Medicine Institute offers a "comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs and treat medical conditions related to the muscular, skeletal, lymphatic and neurological systems." What does this mean?

It means the practice can help with prosthetics, arthritis, pain, various injuries, as well as evaluations (for workers compensation) or independent examinations.

To learn more about the practice, you can visit their website, and request an appointment right there online.
